چکیده
In this study, the aerodynamic performance of seven different airfoils named CLARK Y, YH, Curtis C-72, FX 66-S-196 V1, NACA4412, NACA4415, and NACA4418 was numerically investigated under angles attack ranging from 0° to 30° in increments 5°. 2D (two-dimensional) CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) models were created performed steady-state conditions. When changes lift coefficient drag with examined, it observed that increased increasing angle attack. On other hand, firstly then decreased a little remained constant. For all airfoils, value is calculated be highest around 10 15°. The obtained results numerical simulations also analyzed by using GRA (Grey Relation Analysis) method. While determining best method, “higher better” “lower normalization processes used for coefficient, respectively. As result analysis made results, seen worst performances presented C-72 Clark Y airfoil profiles at 10° condition, 15° higher conditions, YH profiles, model velocity distribution compared models.

Aerodynamic Performance of Biological Airfoils
Experimental studies on static, non-flapping dragonfly wings have shown favorable aerodynamic performance at low Reynolds number (Re ≤ 10,000). High lift is hypothesized to arise from the dragonfly’s pleated wing structure. A numerical study of flow past a modeled dragonfly wing section as well as its comparison to a corresponding profiled airfoil and a flat plate were conducted at Re = 10,000....

In this research, the continuous adjoint method is applied to optimize an airfoil in subsonic and transonic flows. An Euler flow solver is used to analyze the inviscid compressible flow over airfoils in each design cycle. Two design problems appearing in aerodynamic shape optimization, namely inverse pressure design and drag minimization were investigated. In the first part, a test case was car...

متن کاملAdjoint-Based Aerodynamic Optimization of Supersonic Biplane Airfoils
This paper addresses the aerodynamic performance of Busemann-type supersonic biplanes at both design and offdesign conditions. An adjoint-based optimization technique is used to optimize the aerodynamic shape of the biplane to reduce the wave drag at a series of Mach numbers ranging from 1.1 to 1.7, at both acceleration and deceleration conditions. The optimized biplane airfoils dramatically re...
